Putting together a plan or coupling a list of activities to solve complex problems or challenges is usually difficult and time consuming. Even if you need to constantly face the similar sort of challenges, due to small or big variations every time you are required to figure out what to modify in your plan. For example, there could be many activities that are optional, based on the specific occurrence of the challenge, or specific tasks need to be done based on particular challenge’s requirement or inputs.
In this presentation I want to show how using the Salesforce CPQ rule engine that is typically used in product quotes and contracts, can be used to solve equally complex problems in different contexts such as project planning and estimation.
