Janaka Peiris

Janaka is a senior technology professional, with 20 years of experience in software engineering, delivery management, tech operations and people leadership. Janaka has a strong technical background with 9+ years of experience on the Saleforce.com platform, delivering highly complex world class implementations. He is a Salesforce system architect and a champion in pushing technology boundaries to deliver cutting edge business solutions.

Janaka joined NAB in 2010 and was instrumental in building “Podium” a market leading mortgage broker platform, which accounted for $54 Billion of home loans in 2017. The CRM of Podium is powered by Salesforce, and is a complex and unique Salesforce.com implementation. As a technology engineering manager at NAB, Janaka manages fully-stacked scrum teams with engineering, testing, operations, and devOps capability.

A key career highlight is his leadership in delivering a project to consolidate 2800+ Salesforce instances. This transformational project included a user experience overhaul, with 400 new lightning screens, API integration into 13 external apps, and data migration of 1.5 billion records. Being one of the largest most complex Salesforce projects in Asia Pacific, Janaka worked closely with business stakeholders, vendors and international/local industry experts to plan and execute this project.
